Peyton Manning better off without Tony Dungy

Dungy had a SB winning team for 5 years in Tampa and couldn't win - they won the year after he got FIRED.

Dungy had SB caliber teams in Indy for years but only won 1 time. Despite Dungy, Manning did it himself.

The year after the team went to the SB with that turd Jim Caldwell.

This year they go to the SB with Fox/ Del Rio.




Dungy is the worst playoff coach of all time. Bellicheck is running all sorts of schemes and game plans while Dungy was ultra conservative and ran cover 2 cover 2 cover 2 cover 2 no matter what.

he is doing what he would have done a lot if he had some athletic wr meaning at least 1 athletic tall wr and a more athletic TE. a real nfl defense, too... for the matter. not just one built to protect leads.

hate to say it but TE J.Thomas was more valuable this year than D.Clark was in 06, and Clark was BIG in those 06 playoffs in critical spots

no cover 2 = actually playing real defense and actually having big DTs to stuff the run and not allow QB's to just step up in the pocket, which is what everyone would just do to the Colts in the 2003 to 2010 years.

Peyton had it sealed up last year too, up 7 vs Ravens with 1 minute left. Defense blew it.... nobody recovers from watching their defense give up a hail mary bomb miracle TD in a big playoff game.

Marvin Harrison would always disappear in the playoffs vs the good defensive teams. He came back from injury in 07 to play vs Chargers and had a HUGE fumble that he lost that KILLED all momentum the Colts had. Kenton Keith (who) also fumbled at the goal line to kill another Manning drive. He passed for like 400+ with 3 td's but those fumbles took away 10 points. When Marvin was gone... Manning would have to do a lot without Wayne... who would be taken out of the game as much as possible by defensive coordinators, in 08, 09 and 2010.

Peyton beat the Jets to go to the SB with a rookie Austin Collie and Pierre fukkn Garcon, no run game and a little of Clark mixed in here and there. 377 yards 3 TD zero picks with Wayne on Revis island and the jets were the #1 defense and also had a 17-6 lead.

Why Dungy gets the respect he does is beyond me. He was a good NFL coach, nothing more. The fact the Lions listened to him and hired Caldwell shows how dumb they are.

Dungy could never game plan. All he could say is Peyton go win this, I'll stick to my cover 2 forever.


Look at what Bellicheck does, game planning, throwing new wrinkles, new plays, takes away the other teams best player, and Dungy ran the most predictable defense in Human history. THAT'S why he always lost.

Give Peyton a real coach and he'd have at least 3 rings. Give him Bellicheck and he'd probably have 5 rings.
