I think out of the 5 times I have bet on the Heat in a logical spot play (like after Lebron says he is pissed and to look at the numbers he will put up next game) they have won once.

for me in terms of sports worth betting on it goes NCAA football (losing one game can be a killer for a college program), NFL, College basketball, cricket, darts, NHL, college hockey, college baseball, volleyball, snooker, MLB, tennis, soccer, .... and NBA is the the thing that is least worth my money.
