I haven't seen a thread about this yet, what are your initial thoughts about Nelson transferring out of MN gopher football program? I thought he showed a lot of upside in his freshman season coming from Mankato but this year really didn't take that next step. Granted the gophers don't have much depth at the WR position at all. To be honest I don't know if Nelson will be a high level QB at a different program. Thoughts?

MN and Coach Kill want a QB that can run in between the tackles.
I liked Nelson as he was a true passer talent.
MN wants to be geared up for running the ball 70% of the time. Time will tell.Comment -
Yeah I don't know if Leidner is the answer either to be honest. Played great against an over matched San jose state squad and that was about it. Hopefully they have a few youngsters coming in that can challenge Leidner for the starting spot.Comment
