that changed everything, bc teams don't guard him from 14 feet out and dare him to shoot it
has been hitting them

why is still a star and not a superstar???????
hes definately being marketed as one, but the he definately is not one
agree that some teams like the grizz can shut him down in the post and make him look a little soft, all i'm saying is that he has improved and puts forth the effort

#45What does that mean? Nothing, he's a center, in today's game centers arnt number one options on any team, the game isnt like it used to be where you played it inside out and had centers who were fundamentally skilled. They ruined the game years ago with the high school kids being tought to just run up and down the court, 1 on 1, not focusing on big men so they dont develop skill wise. And his numbers have improved from his rookie year he only gets 11 shots average over his career and still gets you 18 despite being a very poor FT shooter, but haters gonna hate.Originally posted by Ghenghis Kahnfor those that are defending howard, just look as his numbers from his rookie years to now, there's no improvement. the guy has no drive to be better.Comment -

#46Finally someone gets it....nobody plays the game inside out anymore...Dwight is averaging 11.3 touches a game....Shaq averaged 19 touches in Orlando and LA....why? Because he had a coach who didn't give a shit who his all star shooting guard was...the TRIANGLE was run through Shaq and Shaq only...no matter how much Kobe bitched....Soft guys like McHale dun have the balls to tell 85 million no defense playing bitches like Harden that whats best for the team is the inside out approach...Originally posted by jtolerWhat does that mean? Nothing, he's a center, in today's game centers arnt number one options on any team, the game isnt like it used to be where you played it inside out and had centers who were fundamentally skilled. Tell me..why is a 7 footer being asked to set screens for a guard? LOL.......Dwight must improve his free throws....but outside of that...he is doing his job....the problem is...McHale does not have the balls to tell Harden and Parsons...that the offense will be run through Dwight for certain portions of the game....several times this year...a few when harden was out...Mchale said fuc it...and ran it all through Dwight......every time Dwight had 30 plus pts and 15 plus rebounds...nobody said a peep......
Yes Dwight has too many damn baby mamas....but this narrative about him not being the man and being scared is growing OLD.....it is obvious to anyone who has watched basketball during the Shaq and Olujuwan era....he is not being FED....these coaches no longer run the offense through the 5.....as a result the league is full of andre Jordans....who get highlights but can't dominate games....and the REFS blow the whistle...the minute Dwight looks at someone.....
If the REFS blew the whistle during Shaq's era the way they do now....Shaq would have fouled out of every game he ever played...this NBA rigged shit is a joke...Houston and Golden State exist to shoot 3's..and placate the fans... cuz chicks dig the long ball......hard fouls, and centers dominating the paint...naw thats too boring for the casual fans of the NBA....they have destroyed the game by allowing these bitchmade pussy cute no defense playing guards shooting the ball with no regard for teammates ..and dribbling out the clock.....just so ESPN can get highlights of Austin Rivers literally falling out of the game like Mario and Luigi...Shit is getting way out of hand....Comment -

#50Genghis youre not making a point nor can refute anything said, thing is people sometimes like to single out a guy and then the others jump on the bangwagon without thinking for themselves and actually looking at the picture closely. Again Howard shoots the ball on average 11 times and gets 18, just think if he got to shoot it 20 times? Youre bringing up FT's who cares, he is what he is, has nothing to do with practice, it has to do with his hand size and just not having the touch of a shooter. Some guys are just like that like Shaq was, hands too big and not having touch thats all it is.Comment -

#54Man too many Howard apologists here.
comparing Shaq and Olajuwon's post game to Howard's is an embarrassment. Not even clclose
the reason the coach pulls Howard out to screen and roll is because he has no offensive game. He will either miss a hook or bank shot, or get fouled and missed FTs. He's so big standing there in the middle that he clogs up the lane so the other players can't drive to the hoop. He's a major liability on offense
shaq was so much more dominant and skilled on the offensive end than Howard, please never make a comparison like thatComment -

#55i knew you were gonna bring up shaq, shaq broke his wrist as a kid and never regained full motion on his shooting hand. dwight on the other hand is just lazy. shooting is all about muscle memory and repetition, especially free throws. if he shot, 1000 fts a day, i guarantee he'll shoot at least in the 70% range. it would surprise me if he shot 100 fts a day.Originally posted by jtolerGenghis youre not making a point nor can refute anything said, thing is people sometimes like to single out a guy and then the others jump on the bangwagon without thinking for themselves and actually looking at the picture closely. why do you think the game has changed? it's because there are no dominant big man at the moment. you're bring up the fact that howard only touches the ball 18 times per game and averages 11 shots. that's because he isn't a dominant force.
do you think, for example, if a team had shaq or hakeem today in their primes would only let them touch 18 times per game and shoot 11 times? they would feed them the ball over and over because shaq and hakeem would be unstoppable.Comment -
