#3It's hard to get into the mind of an NFL coordinator, but being a HC seems like a kick in the nuts, especially trying to function within the context of a bad franchise. Some of these guys, like McDaniels, are realizing it's easier to be an OC coaching up Tom Brady and letting Belichick knit together a top 10 defense year after year. Maybe it's just me being lazy, but it seems like a much softer seat sitting next to Billy B than going to Cleveland with my neck in the guillotine starting week 1.Comment -

#4The real story: Josh McDaniels is too smart to let the fate of the Browns decide his long-term fate as an NFL head coach (considering this is his second chance already). Far too risky, especially considering he will be a coveted candidate by most teams with openings in the future.Comment -

#5He is a young guy with 1 strike. I agree that he will get a better opportunity with a better franchise in the future.
Good move by Josh.Comment -

#6I agree, guys. McDaniels stock can only go up. When he does decide to become HC, he can name his price.Comment -

#9True enough, especially getting that 1st rounder from Indy in the Richardson deal. Lombardi hasn't impressed much yet.Comment -

#14ive seen way too many people slam the browns "brass" here the last few weeks.....its a new regime....theyve barely had a chance to do anything....dealing richardson is looking good indeed....3 picks in the top 36...this will be a pivotal draft......all lombardi really had the last draft was the 6th pick..then i think a third and bunch of other late round picks...the jury is still out on mingo.....but i think they identified richardson as overvalued....and they got a good dealComment -
