winston is average player with talent around him, who struggled against a terrible auburn defense.
both teams were fundamentally unsound in all 3 phases of the game.
their was no final drive by winston. he threw a 2 yd pass to a guy 3 auburn players whiffed on when all you have to do is keep everything in front of you. he ran for 60 yds. then a jump ball pass in the end zone i could have thrown. wow, what a drive.
auburn should be looking for a new special teams coach. you don't kick the ball to burner returner at that point of the game. all you are trying to do is prevent big plays in that situation. you line drive it and let an up guy stumble to the 30. plus, if you penetrate up and kick deep try to have a guy come within 10 yds of the returner much less tackle him.
auburn had their foot on FSU's throat and didn't finish them off. FSU made no great comeback without the aid of auburn.
a team won the national championship without playing one fundamentally sound team the whole year. the hype surrounding winston and both teams is ridiculous and unwarranted.
college football is a joke.
