Did you see the things that VI said to him in his PM prior to the start of their deal? The shit about 'trusting him this time' and 'knowing people'.

If somebody ever tried to talk to me like I was their bitch, there is ZERO chance that I go ahead with a bet. VI talked to Brock like he was/is/always will be a total POS.

I wish VI would step up and get this done with, but frankly I don't think it is going to happen. It is unfortunate because he was the POTM (co) for last month and he had a bit of a following. It is quite obvious that he wasn't betting what he said he was.....and that blows.

Law school isn't the way to go. Petroleum Engineering is the way to go. Much higher starting salary out of college and a MUCH higher employment rate than a law degree and you'll save 50 grand that you would be spending after your B.S.

I've been reading over this thread since I don't have college classes today, and here is a few comments from me:

If I ever woke up one day and was in a situation that it seems a lot of people are in on here and I was 50-ish and I had nothing in savings, I think I would die.

Sports betting is sports betting.

It may be a pseudo-investment and I treat it as such, but be smart and normal and have money in 401k's and IRA's.

Don't wake up one day with no retirement savings whatsoever and be so far behind working year-wise that you realistically can't save much. A wife/future girlfriend could care less about an online sportsbook account, she cares about your checking account at the bank. ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS, MEN.

Also, Deemer, if anyone ever implied to you that as a lawyer you would be making six figures right out of law school then they were fukking lying to you. You might eventually make 6 figures assuming that you are a good lawyer and you have been working for probably 15+ years, but you won't be making that right out of school. Also, the six figures thing is assuming that you know that being a prosecutor is a fukking joke. As a prosecutor you get paid shit. The real money is defending the criminals (so become a defense attorney). Of course I assume that anyone that wants to be a lawyer has enough sense to know that.

Aaron was also right about the Petroleum Engineering. I like stuff like crude oil, oil rigs and I think that oil tankers and other big ships like that are totally badass (yeah, at heart I am still a kid who likes big airplanes, trains, and big ships) so that would be a sick field to work in and you can come out of school bringing in 6 figures.

Myself, I chose to major in finance and while I originally wanted to work at an investment bank, I decided I wanted a more stable work environment so now I just want to be a branch manager at a commercial bank after working my way up and bring in a stable 50-ish thousand a year and use my investing knowledge to trade Forex at night and eventually accumulate enough money in savings to just day trade at my house.

When I start working my actual career after I finish college this semester, I will only ever bet sports solely on spot plays. I may only bet 8 or so NFL games all year and that is just because of the big rivalries (Cowboys/Giants, Packers/Bear, Saints/Falcons, Seahawks/49ers) and then the playoffs. The NBA won't be worth a fukking penny of my money at that time, soccer will only be for Champion's League finals, etc.

I'm not naive enough to think that sports betting is where it's at to make legitimate life money. Sports betting is just a hobby that you may use to supplement your income.
