Panthers are great on the road. Don't see an advantage at home. Panthers are a bad matchup for the Niners. That being said I like the Niners in a close game, however the best play here is clearly the under.

Carolina is a better team than Green Bay (although I hate to admit it) and this line should continue to slide....maybe enough so I can pick up Carolina and 3 points....I will wait.

the public is in love with all the road teams this week especially the Colts and 49ers.

the only reason i can think of is these road teams are fresh in everybodys mind since they just saw them play

Carolina will contain SF, I agree, but Carolina will still have to find the endzone at least twice to win and I dont think they can do it, not enough firepower on offense. SF wins 20-10

SF was really banged up when the lost to CAR. They have nearly all their big playmakers back. Are on a roll. Offence did a good job in GB in sub-zero temperatures.

This is spot on. I don't see either team thrashing the other; they match up well against each other so it's likely another low-scoring slugfest.

Check prior comparable games/teams this season: Seattle, Arizona, SF, Car, Miami being key teams largely due to their play style or defenses:
Carolina vs. Seattle - L 12-7 (also lost to Seattle at home in '12 16-12 similar type game)
Carolina @ Arizona - L 22-6
Carolina @ SF - W 10-9
Carolina @ Miami - W 20-16
Should also be noted that Carolina held NE to 20 points and NO to 13 points both at home (both in close game wins).

SF @ Seattle - L 29-3
SF vs. Arizona - W 32-20
SF vs. Carolina - L 10-9 (mentioned above)
SF vs. Seattle - W 19-17
SF @ Arizona - W 23-20

Out of those 8 games mentioned only 1 total broke 43 points. And given that neither team tends to get blown out - especially Carolina at home - teasing Carolina could be a great play since they will either keep it close or even win outright (either team is capable of winning just depends on how things unfold on Sunday).

Final thoughts - teasing Carolina +9 and Under 48 seems like a solid play, maybe best play for this game.

as a panthers fan i think this is the worst possible matchup for the Panthers.

no doubt in my mind panthers would beat Eagles or Packers or Saints

but the Panthers sometimes struggle on offense and they have a tendency to play way too conservative.

If the Panthers are agressive with offensive play calling i think they would win.

however if the Panthers come out with draw plays and little short passes to Greg Olsen they will get behind in the game quick.

i'd hate for Cam to be in a situation tying to come back from a 10 point deficit against this 49er defense
