The year I started following hockey for real was 1971, when the Habs won for the last time with Beliveau.

Game Two of the Boston series, Bruins leading the series 1-0, Habs down 5-1. Beliveau, 40 years old, carried the team on his back that game, with two goals and two assists. Still ranks as one of the best games I have ever seen.

Beliveau was a true gentleman, a hero of the game, a giant on and off the ice. There will never be anyone else like him. 10 cups, with three different coaches, over three different decades. Third player to hit 500 goals. The list goes on and on.

This is why this world is screwed up. He was JUST a hockey player. Not a hero. He wasn't at Normandy. He never saved any lives. Firefighters and cops die every day and don't get a farewell like that . Fukked up.

With what happened in Ottawa, there was quite the farewell for that. Guess because more people know who beliveau was as oppose to a cop or firefighter who's only exposed to a few thousand people rather than millions. Don't think you need to save lives to be a hero imo. He did have a huge impact on the evolution of hockey and will be missed!

Didn't watch Habs, but from the replays it looks like they played hard, and got bad bounces. This happens during losing streaks, you just need to keep working hard until the bounces go your way.

To be honest man, I don't usually get too much into CFB. Not sure why just never got into it. I enjoy watching it but never put forth the time to cap it.

Agree with blues and Canucks. Habs really need this one so have to go with it. Taking pens this afternoon too. Crosby will break out of his slump very soon and today looks like a good day
