Philly-Portland tomorrow set at 224.5. Philly's last game against Sacramento closed at 220 as well. I remember seeing 221.5 on a Clippers game last season.
Whats the highest total you've seen set at an NBA game?

#6Might have been Kings/Golden St, prolly around 09, but I remember a 242
I was in high school and everyone and there mother liked the under... Told them all the over was probably a better play, cause its just one of those games where you can't set the total high enough or you won't get any over action.
Went over 260.Comment -

#8the game with the kings after this one you're speaking of had a similar total, but it went way under. i fukked myself in the ass with a splintery plunger handle by taking every quarter over, first half over, second half over, and game over. i think i won third quarter over...haha...that was it.Originally posted by tto827Might have been Kings/Golden St, prolly around 09, but I remember a 242

#17i haven't personally seen a regular season game get this high, but once you get into like the 260s, 270s, i mean, the shit gets boring well before the end. it's like, ok, we get it, you can hit shots...right, and no one's playing defense, we all kinda picked up on this after four and a half minutes...Originally posted by flyingcarbs320 - Not even OT

#24Back when D'Antoni was with Phoenix I can remember a couple totals 230+ when they played LAL and Golden State
I believe the game that was in question during the Donaghy saga was a game in the 227-230 range and on national TV. Lakers took something stupid, like 30 FT attempts in the 4Q
Does anyone recall this?Comment -

#25Denver Nuggets in 1981 averaged 126 Pts per game.
Nuggets had three scorers that averaged 20 point a game.
Every game, repeat, every game, regular, and post-seaon, resulted in both Denver and their opponent each scoring 100+
There was a 299 game that season, a 292, 14
or so games went 270+, and I stopped counting at 20 of the number of games that went 250 and over.Comment -

the pace has drastically changed, they used to just run up and down the court and chuck shots up without even passing half the time.
its the reason Wilt's stats were so gaudy and why Michael's look so good compared to today'sComment -

#31Would have slapped this one if it was SBR trivia with that 320 game. Watched it on ESPN classic once.
Those Nuggets teams back in the day were unreal.
Not one hand of defense. Seemed to be contagious with whoever they were playing.
They have quite a few offensive records in those years.Comment -
