Brooklyn NetsThe Brooklyn Nets will don nickname jerseys for their Jan. 10 matchup against the Heat.

The Brooklyn Nets will wear their nickname player jerseys Jan. 10 against the Miami Heat at Barclays Center.

Fans can buy the nickname jerseys starting Wednesday at the team store at Barclays Center.

Nets jerseys featuring nicknames like "D-Will" (Deron Williams), "Truth" (Paul Pierce) and "JJ" (Joe Johnson) cost $110 (swingman), $70 (replica) or $50 (kids).

Fans can also buy nickname T-shirts as well.

The Nets will offer fans nickname food and beverage selections at their concessions stands, and each one of their chef tables at the 40/40 Club & Restaurant will be named after a different player's nickname.

Yeah the whole premise for the game is stupid.

The Nets/NBA should have changed Pierce's jersey from "Truth" to "The Truth" like Shaq called him, and that would have sold some jerseys.

The only jersey that is interesting at all is Ray Allen's just because of the He Got Game movie.

There will be a few J. Shuttlesworth jerseys at local basketball courts for sure.

bubbles will get a Magic Johnson Michigan State jersey to counteract that if I see those Shuttlesworth jersey's in the streets or find my "white whale" and get a high school jersey of Jabari Parker (he played at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago) which I have been looking for for like a solid two years.

These nicknames are bullshit for a few reasons:

1) AK 47, doesn't have AK or 47 on the back of his jersey. If they literally just put his initials on his jersey, it would have worked. But these whitemen in suits ****** it all up. Fukk them and their goddamn need to be overly PC.

2) The announcers aren't even using the nicknames. That is retarded. Once again, white men in suits.

3) Chris Bosh's nickname is CB? Get the fukk out with that. His name is T-Rex looking mother fukker, or T-Rex or Dinosaur for short. Maybe even Raptor. Fukk it. Something with a dinosaur.

4) NBA, you're not watchable. This gimmick sucks.
