Others who were recently in contention (Pirates come to mind) may have turned the corner.

There is absolutely no hope for the Browns, and the off-season moves almost make you want to believe that they are a real-life version of Major League.

They have been in a "rebuilding" mode since returning to the league, and now the "rebuilding" continues with the firing of a first-year coach.

Detroit Lions & Oakland Raiders are pretty brutal now.

Mets are pretty inept, but at least they've been to the big game. Angels making a case for it lately.

Funny that mlb has the softest cap and yet most teams stay bad for shorter lengths of time than in other sports. And not saying can't win it all...I'm just saying playoff caliber. Padres maybe the worst over the longest current run?

Up until recently, the Arizona Cardinals were probably worse off than the Browns. The Clippers were the worst run franchise in the NBA. The Royals, Cubs, Expos/Nationals were atrocious. Mets still have guys like Bobby Bonilla on their salary.
