working with two Cowboys fan we figured they would win tonight for two reasons: A trip to the playoffs mean that Jason Garret will be back next year and having the excitement of making the playoffs crash when they lose 48-9 at home to the Saints in the WC game would be a far more crushing scenario.

This sounds crazy, but I actually think having Romo out is going to help the Cowboys. They've always been more effective when they establish their ground game. When Romo's playing, they do that and then it's almost as if he has to fill his quota for pass attempts in a game and they suddenly abandon the run. That won't happen with Orton at QB.

i agree .. i know orton is very rusty .. i know orton isnt as talented as romo .. i know orton probably will only throw the ball 20 times tonight ..

but he is not a bad qb in general

Orton is about the same as Romo as long as he isn't rusty, that isn't Dallas' problem.
