Well, Lakerboy, you should be wise enough to know the answer. Pinnacle doesn't like any team more so than the other.In short, they could give a rats azz who is playing, they are just trying to set the sharpest line possible in every game and sport. When the money comes in, they arent looking at it as lump sum. They divide it between Sharp money and recreational money. They don't care about Recreational money as their reasons for their bets are all over they place with their wild trap, fixing and due theories because this money is so random it pointless to predict and control and that money always evens out in the end giving them a tidy profit regardless who wins.
As with Sharps, just a few of them can hammer a side $50,000 bets each. So if account #235654 who been known to be a Bills Specialist only plays Bills and he pops up and bets $50,000, they figure he figured out an edge that they missed (or concur with their line), so they shift the edge to the opposite side to negate his edge and prevent other sharps from hammering #235654 original line and it also entices other sharp money to take the other side to balance it out his bets.
Recreational money never has effect on the lines as they offer no value in terms of information to the books in the short term. As an example, Floyd Mayweaher will drop a Million on side A and a local wise guy put $50,000 on side B. They are fearing the wise guys money far more than Mayweathers and may shift the line to towards Mr. Wise Guy to prevent Mr. Wise Guys buddies from pounding side B before the line shifts regardless how much money is on is on side A. Not to mention that they want to push out the wise guys out of business by making it as difficult as possible by posting the sharpest lines possible and keep people like Mayweather as a life long customer by allowing softer lines for him...
-off topic This is what reading line movement is all about. We as players aren't privy to who's money is going where so we have to speculate as why the markets lines are moving as they are. More often than not, they shift and set the lines based on who is betting, not how much.
Sorry for being preachy, but the disinformation spread around here is appalling and is losing people money. Threre's a reason there aren't seasoned Gamblers and administrators correcting or educating these false hoods, as this ignorance to the workings of the Gambling world is making them the Billions, why ruin a good thing and educate the fish.Comment -

I played the above, the patriots have let me down three straight this season, so i don't have much insight other than odds would have it i would have to win eventually, lol. On a serious note, weather being a factor, the bills are a good pass rush team, but i don't think that should take away from the Patriots run game either. They aren't horrible, and they are at home. I wouldn't have thought to go 7.5, but i did (from beginning of game, currently 2nd qtr 3:10) If the line could be had at -7, i think this was a good pick. Given the faith i have put on the pats in the past however, im only risking a small half unit. Too much inconsistency to go large on this for me. BOL all, hopes are for us all to make some coin.Comment
