Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) was operating as the first-team quarterback in the portion of Packers practice open to the media on Thursday.

It's the first time Rodgers has been ahead of Matt Flynn since returning to Packers practice several weeks ago. It's still not a guarantee he'll be under center for Sunday's winner-take-all tilt with the Bears, but is an excellent sign for his Week 17 prospects. A source tells FOX Sports Wisconsin Rodgers will start in Chicago. We should get official word within the next hour or two.

if it was as significant as we think it is the lines on the futures would have moved. sportsbooks arent dumb they know the first thing we all are going to think about going for is the futures.

I thought Packers would be favored. Be interesting to see how he stands in there and takes hits. Rodgers usually stands in there and takes hits, but if he's skittish and forces it out quick, it might not be the Rodgers we've come to know. It'll be interesting. Suppose NBC is regretting it's choice of the SNF game?

Settle down guys. I don't even think 40-1 is good. They gotta win FIVE games. They still got big problem as a team even if Rodgers is 100%. If they beat Bears, they're gonna have a tough first round at home probably against SF. Then they go to Seattle. Then the NFC Champ. Then SB. If they were a pk em every game that's 32-1. But they will; be on the road and dogs mostly. Probably need 50-1 or more to be interesting.
