Not till the end of the third though. Dallas harassed Foles all game long and they stopped the run. That was also the healthiest the Dallas defense has been all season long. Kiffin is also familiar with Kellys offense.

Yeah my bad, Barkley started against the Giants, not the Cowboys.

First meeting was one of those piss poor Chip game plans though. He threw it 49 times. Only 23 rushes. I think he got impatient with the lack of point production even though the game was well within hand most of the way through. Even with Barkley in, the Eagles moved the ball. Barkley got picked inside the 20 once and in Dallas territory a 2nd time. A more experienced QB likely would have been able to at least work both drives for FGAs and the game would have been a one possession game in the 4th, maybe even.

Lost in that game is that I thought Philly's defense played very well. Game planning regardless of Dallas QB issues is paramount for Philly. When they run the ball and stick with it and don't go off into an Andy Reid split of 65-70 percent passes .. they have pretty good success. The offense to me has more confidence than it did those several months ago, so it will be really interesting to see where both teams stand now.

He's not going to play, and won't be available for the playoffs should Kyle Orton pull off a Flynn-ian miracle against the Eagles. Big D should give up the ghost some time in the next 48 hours.

Actually, the Eagles pounded the Rodgers-less Packers 27-13 @GB, there was no miracle that day.

To me... Orton should have a better mind set than Tony Romo. I think I'm going to take Orton and the pts.

Orton isn't bad and it guarantees Murray is going to get more carries.

Might be a blessing in disguise.

Orton isn't bad if you ignore his career numbers or the fact he hasn't played a meaningful game in two years.

Interesting point. It depends which Dallas defense shows up, they at least need to keep Philly under 30.

I live in Dallas, and as of yet, the Cowboys still have not officially ruled out Romo for Sunday night's game. My guess is they may wait as long as Friday to make an official decision. Today, they have 3 QBs coming in to Valley Ranch for tryouts. They are David Carr, John Skelton, and Tyler Thigpen.

Whether Romo plays or not depends on the disc. If it's just a pain issue, Romo could probably play through that. He's played before with a broken finger, a cracked rib, and a collapsed lung. However, if the disc affects his movement and he can't move, then he'll have to sit this one out.

                          Stay tuned.

That's just the Dallas company line to make Eagles think he might play. He is done for this year, the disc requires surgery as many sources have already confirmed. Besides, if there was seriously a chance he could play, the books would not be holding at around Philly -7 right now, they almost always know more about what's going on than the media.

The line is dallas plus 7 because of the espn report the romo wont play, If you like dallas lock in your bet now, I like to look into the future and try to predict what will happen, I see philly killing them, dallas has so much pressure on them, and u have jerry jones staring all his players down at home, come on man that is not a good enviremont for the dallas players

Books wouldn't expose themselves based only on ESPN report, if there was any chance Romo can play, they would just keep the game off the board, just like they have been continually doing with Rodgers.

I guess with the latest news, if you're going to take the Cowboys, now is the time. They said he got in Epidural in his back which has to bring the line back if anything.

Agreed. Dallas +7 with Orton is a better bet than Dallas +3 with Romo. Orton is a decent QB (or used to be, I'm assuming he still is), and you know the Cowboys are going to run more which they should have been doing anyway!

Last I checked he has a winning record as a starting QB.

You better believe the Cowboys are pissed at being +6.5 at home in this spot. Would be huge for them to get Sean Lee back, in addition to KR specialist Dwayne Harris and CB Claiborne set to return.

Cowboys held the Eagles to 3 points IN Philly earlier this season, and while the defense has been horrendous as of late, any sort of step up would be huge. Playing at home will help this cause.

Cowboys get to the Super Bowl with Orton and beat Denver. The team that let Orton go.
