I think this one will be a total beat down.
Personally, I think East Carolina runs Ohio out of the building.
Few reasons:
Ohio doesn't even belong in a bowl game.
Before beating 1 and 11 UMass, who doesn't even deserve to belong in Division 1 football, Ohio got beat by Buffalo 30-3, got waylayed by Bowling Green 49-0, and got taken to the wood shed by Kent State 49-13.
Holy Mother of God, that's a crap load of points given up.
Now that Swiss Cheese defense has to face Shane Carden and that offense!
Shane Carden is the best QB in the nation nobody heard of.
He leads East Carolina's tenth ranked passing offense.
He's thrown for almost 4000 yards this season.
Kid is beast, he loves to throw to his buddy Justin Hardy.
Hardy has 8 TD's and has over 1200 recieving yards.
Ohio's secondary did not see Jordan Lynch this season, who doesn't even throw like Carden anyway, Ohio's DB's haven't seen a QB this good all season, Carden is going to light them up.
On the other side of the ball, East Carolina brings one of the best pass rushes in the nation.
(look it up for yourself) the Pirate pass rush is a monster. 35 QB sacks, 14th ranked in the entire nation.
Ohio brings a good pass rush too, it should be noted, but not as fierce as ECU.
In order for Ohio to keep this close, their pass rush has to get into Carden's face, I don't think their pass rush will do that enough times.
Carden (ECU) is the better QB match up here over Bobcat's Tettleton (who really isn't that bad)
ECU has the better pass rush, even though Ohio can bring some heat, just not like ECU.
Ohio opened the season against Louisville, got crushed, and has played crap the rest of the season, they have no quality wins, even though they have won 7 games, unless you want to count Marshall as a quality win. I don't.
All things considered, SoS, pass rushes, defenses, QB's, point to a 4 TD blow out.
