    NFL handicapping pool idea
I thought up this pool the other day. Not sure if it has been done before, but I think it's good to go. Here's how it works.

There is no limit as to the number of people involved as long as the total does not end up being a prime number (Divisible only by 1).

Every week, each person makes 5 picks against the spread only. Money line picks and totals are not allowed.

The picks are submitted to the commissioner and he must keep track of winning and losing picks for each person.

For every winning pick, 1 point is given.

After week 16, the commissioner randomly puts each person into a group. For example, if 24 people are in the pool, there will be 6 groups of 4 (That's why you cant have a prime number or other lame numbers like 22 and 26).

After the teams are established, the number of winning picks per team is accumulated and the team with the most points splits the pot.

The reason why the teams are selected at the end of the season is so that people cannot share picks between their team members during the contest. You could keep the teams secret at the beginning of the season, but then you have the problem of the commissioner knowing what team he is on. So, it's better to select the teams after week 16. This way there is no collusion and the commissioner can play as well.

What do you think? Ever heard of a pool like this?
