Someone give me a reason to not go all in on UNC/Texas Over on anything less than 145

This game should be a shootout IMO

I thought the same thing about a week ago when high scoring Boise State came to UK. Had the makings of a 93-75 game. I'll be dammed if they didn't come up in Rupp Arena and hold the ball for big parts of the game. 70-55 final & missed by like 35 points. Never know what kind of tactics a double digit road dog might resort to.

That's an interesting game to bring up, chalk. I watched that game and was surprised with how Boise approached it. Texas has historically had strong guard play and usually feels comfortable, as a program, running up and down the floor. Roy would love nothing more than a shootout and this might be a good spot. I'm praying they hang a decent number out there. Anything over 150 and it's a no play. Anything under 140 and it's Pound Town.

As an avid UK fan and knowing the trends of how they play mid-majors at home, I was bit shocked at how that one turned out .Boise conceded the loss & just tried to keep it close. One positive about UNC at home, is they don't necessarily need the other team to get the over. I think they're capable of scoring 86-90 tomorrow. That place will be rockin, that's for sure.

I'd feel better about it if UNC could shoot the 3 at all. But, this year you can rely on FT's to get you there though they don't shoot particularly well there either. Texas has a pretty poor FG% as a team as well. I mean it should be an up and down game with lots of points but could get ugly and together they only give up 135 on average a game. Those are just some reasons not to go on it from the other side of it, but I wish you well

The number means everything here. It's one of those games where a soft total could really be taken advantage of. It could go from All-In to no play with a hard total. I'm really looking for anything 145 or less. I'd kill for 138-139

I think 139 would almost scare me off, personally. lol. I had the game on Saturday, but couldn't follow that closely because of a Christmas party going on around me, but I didn't really like how that game was called with. It went over and I felt like there was a lot of points left out there on no-calls..that would be assuming that UK could cash in on free throws, which is a moot point.

I stated right in the first post that 145 and I'd be happy. I just said that I hoped they would throw 138-139 out there, which didn't happen. The posted total came out pretty much as to be expected. I still think it's a decent play at 149, but not worthy of hammer time, which would have been the case at 140. I think the books are seeing the same thing I am here. I'm banking on a lot of possessions and shots, which will outweigh the terrible shooting percentages of these two on average.
