Bears new offense had been evolving week by week, both players and playcalling, and McCown benefitted by stepping in to an emerging situation and a dominating Alshon Jeffery, coupled with facing some terrible defenses. McCown did his job, no doubt, all the kudos to him, but Cutler is the better QB. A Cutler-led Bears can be the best offense in the NFL, though not today in bad Cleveland conditions. It's just too bad the defense is historically bad so that is pretty limiting. If the Bears had even last year's defense, which had declined from prior years, they'd be very serious threats. Getting Briggs back next week will help a lot though. The D misses him very badly.
