Thunder -5.5 @ Grizzlies
Thunder on B2B playing against the Grizzlies tonight. The Thunder have been very hot lately, blowing out the Pacers at home and then beating the Hawks away. They're playing good ball, and are now going into Memphis to play their first game of the season against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season.
Why not to take Memphis. The Grizzlies are not the same team without Gasol. He was the reason they were one of the best defensive teams in the league. He also was a huge asset to scoring. Now the Grizz can still play a little D, but they have zero offense. Tony Allen, their 2nd best defender is doubtful today, ed davis has a bad ankle, and pondexter is out. This is an embarrassing Grizz team. They have not been good all year, and I don't expect that to change. This is one play where you play with the trend.
*If the Thunder had lost or not covered last night, this would have been play of the month. I still consider it a good play, and it is my favorite play today.
