Terrible pick up. Another prospect with talent goes packing and we get a guy with zero defense who can't DH. I wasn't a huge Eaton fan as Pollock is a better version of him, but the Dbacks need defense and arms and they just downgraded in both departments.

Great move by the D-backs AND Angels both here.
Trumbo's average struggles a little but he has 50+ HR potential.
Just needs to find a small dose of those Dominican steroids during the off-season to get over the hump.
Goldy will get a few more pitches out of the deal. Dbacks know they have a superstar and need to make sure he has a cpl guys with power around him to punish teams when they walk him.
Baseball 101 obviously. Put a powerful bat behind your star, Average is irrelevant.


The gem in this trade is Santiago going to Anaheim though. Guy has MAJOR potential to be at least a #2 starter down the road.

Big Bear last season not many bright spots. Trumbo is a K machine, hated seeing him step to the plate knowing a K was coming what seems like 80% of the time. Rest either HRs or pop outs.

No market for Albert be real here. Love the pitchers LAA got, and much needed.

Skaggs is legit, and Santiago was worth the gamble.

Eaton is also a very nice piece.

The D-Backs aren't known for making good pickups. If he was available - he was because he's one dimensional - and AZ jumped on him, he's probably not a good pickup.
