Needs to hedge asap. Not saying FSU is a lock to win but the guaranteed money from hedging is.

Going to be hard to hedge that given FSU will be -200 minimum in that game, but he has to figure out a way.

LOSING MY MIND
But yeah, you think about all of the events that lead to Auburn in the title game. Pretty amazing. Hail Mary vs. UGA and then the return vs Alabama. Amazing!

Wowser. I'm a little surprised that any SEC team prior to the season would be 500-1. Even though auburn was picked to be bottom of their own division. I would expect that from a lesser conference. Congrats to him, prob have to lay 30K, but he better hedge to guarantee some $$$.

I don't think it'll be that high.
Even if it is only -200, though, I don't see how you could possibly hedge unless you have a shitload of cash just sitting around somewhere. Still, this guy needs to figure out a way to guarantee himself at least some money.

Wow, you really think so? I was anticipating like -5.5 to -6.5, which I suppose would be in the -225/-275 range.
You really think they'd be more than -7?

This. They will be ok reducing liability as well. If you really want to gamble, wait for better odds in live betting. It's rare a game this big doesn't have swings.

If you held this ticket how much $$$ would you settle for

Not possible. No way this guy in the picture has 10s of thousands in an offshore account to live wager...FSU could go up 14-0 quick and that strategy is done for regardless.

if the line for the bcs is indeed -10, i would assume the best odds he could get is -300 best case scenario. so he would need to bet 38,000 on fsu to ensure 12,000 grand either way
maybe he can settle with the book at 11,000? save the hastle and risk of borrowing money? and the book gets somethin as well

that would assume hedgeing against auburn at -150 odds
only way book would accept that is if they knew auburn was gonna win
he should ask them, if they say yes he should let us know to unload on auburn ml
