Is anyone factoring in the weather for the ACC Champ tonight??

Big Ten and SEC games indoors but the ACC playing in Charlotte! It's forecast is rainy and mid-upper 30's.

Yes Yes if you're from New England or Chicago that isn't 'cold' but anyone who knows Carolina down 30's knows its pretty penetrating cold as a wet cold. How is this going to effect Winston to Benjamin and so forth? Can the Sunshine state boys play well in the frigid temps? As a Tampa fan I've lived through all of the 'sub 43 degree' losses when we were a contender and so forth and the history of Florida teams in the cold are not exciting.

I'm taking the Dukies tonight based on this additional factor as well as home state game....underdog mentality and well....I really want Fl State to take a dump on the field to assist Bama in getting back in the title game to be honest

As far as the probability of Duke winning, about the same % as Auburn scoring 2 TD's in the last 32 seconds against BAMA. You just never know!

Yeah never know whats in store in these late season games. Trust me I've had nightmares about Michigan not finishing off Ohio St last week....the Georgia/Auburn miracle catch plus the Iron Bowl and so forth. Crazy how one play here or there reshapes the entire picture. Bring on the playoffs damnitt

I'm settled in for the Bedlam game now and can't wait for the full days of football.

Only wager for me today is a 3 Unit play on Auburn....figure they at least need to repay me for the cost of alcohol I ingested to numb the pain this week so they better win today

Even if it's not a downpour just the air is miserable and moist this weekend though. Talked with guys in Raleigh last night and they said it was pretty messy out. We'll see. If it starts a cold mist there will definitely effect plays...does anyone know if Winston can throw with a glove?

Depends...sure the route tree and knowledge of the play benefits the receiver as far as initial cuts/moves but I'm thinking about the QB's hands.....gonna be either painful or throw with a glove which is gonna be tricky if he's not familiar with it.

Not sure, but they did practice with a wet ball all week. The High velocity he throws with on his passes, and with a wet ball might be tougher on the receivers. Only a 20% chance now of rain anyways. I am prepared to take the loss on my under 63.

Just grabbed a snap from a traffic cam on Belk (277 that runs past the stadium) looks overcast now. Lots of grey clouds so while the temps might be around 50 now...will drop fast when sun goes down around 630 local time and gonna feel pretty damned cold.

@ JJ .Nobody gave misinformation in this thread. It called for cold and rain all week, thats why FSU used wet balls at practice all week. Now the rain might not come til later in the game, if at all.
