Any Locals doing that these days ?

    Examples:

Lose three $100 bets be down $300

Win three $100 bets be up $270

Win two , lose one $100 bets be up $80

Subject came-up over lunch yesterday... Father of 'kid bookie' did this about 35 yrs ago he said. Sammy remembers one Local in b'ham doing this also around that time.

kid bookie's father said he liked it and was easier on his players (losers)

It's like a 10% insurance policy for bookies. We'll call it winners insurance.

If you come out a winner, you'll only get 90%. Bookie saving money. On the losses, who cares? They already have 100, what's another 10

It's addition by subtraction. Great concept for bookies.

                  Sammy quit tellin on yourself.

You get that candy after you bought your man plenty.

Billy give you that just to keep you around a few more weeks, when you were deep into a cooler.

That shit to get you on the string or hang you from it.

Prolly lend it to you right about now Sammy.

It always made sense to me. Paying a 10 dollar vig on a 100 dollar bet nets the bookie a 10% bonus. Paying a 10 dollar vig on a 90 dollar bet nets the book an 11% bonus.

Standard Concept (betting to win 100): 100 win, 110 loss
Proposes Concept (betting to win 100): 100 win, 111 loss

                          Not really 'proposed'

Obviously an old and obsolete concept

                          Good math tho
