MSU isn't a bunch of robots. They've been struggling for quite some time with a lot of their staples -- namely rebounding and defense.

Someone needs to step up in the post to flank Payne. He's on an island right now underneath.

Not much leadership from this team so far either. They'll be there in March with everyone else, but it's obviously a work in progress and that could've been observed before tonight. Plus, Harris, Appling and Payne are all banged up right now. Far from 100% health wise.

It's never a question of talent with North Carolina, but rather, motivation. They had every reason in the world to play with a chip on their shoulder tonight given how they've played lately, and MSU got their shit pushed in accordingly.
