Marshall is a much better team than Rice and that is for sure, but do not forget that Marshall is HORRIBLE on the road and this game is at Rice.

I'd be careful with MSU. I initially loved the Spartans, but motivation has changed drastically for this game and MSU hasn't had to face a mobile QB all season long (typically a kryptonite for their D). Looks like a pass to me now.

I've watched both of these teams a couple of times the past few weeks. JW is right. Rutgers is a dead team walking, and USF's getting progressively better. I think Rutgers should be -4 here at most.

Actually, their offense has been pretty solid since Cook took over full time at QB. Langford is a solid if not spectacular back, and there are some decent options surfacing at receiver like Kings and Price (TE). The biggest difference for MSU this year has been the health of their OL, which was constantly banged up last season.

I'm still not completely convinced Cook is ready for a game of this magnitude; he's still somewhat inconsistent with his throws (he'll make an impossible one look easy, then miss an open receiver on his next throw), which can be expected from a redshirt soph. who's only made 10 career starts. He's the ultimate X-factor in this game, because OSU will move the ball better than any team MSU has faced. Spartans will have to score at least 20 here to cover I think.

There are a lot of variables that add up to an interesting game that, to me, would be a better one to watch than bet.

I'm on Duke +29. Don't see them getting Clemson'ed here but, if they do, their passing game gives them a shot at the backdoor.

FSU is rightfully #1 ranked, but their SOS has not been impressive and they've benefited in public perception in being the destroyer of overranked teams Maryland, Clemson, and Miami.
