Interesting...but stats and history would have to disagree with you Vito. Something tells me Chicago Bulls would be larger then 6 point favorites today at home vs the Anthony Davis-less Pelicans tonight if D-Rose was healthy and playing.

In this case, Solomon is certaintly worth something....and I'm thinking around 5. If he's out, Cal doesn't have the size and strength to handle UC Irvine inside. Even with that said, it doesn't mean Cal can't knock down 50% of their 3 pointers. My initial thought here was Irvine too....but if Solomon plays, I'm not budging at +7 or +7.5

Solomon could have played the Dayton game but opted to rest a few more days, so he should be back tonight. With Solomon they'd have given Syracuse a real fight, they still did well. I'm on Cal -7.5

History will tell you even Michael Jordan was not worth that many in his day....Not saying that the public doesn't over bet it..but the primary number should not be 4 or more ..

I don't like the Irvine play much Vito, seen them play several teams this year including Pacific. They have size, but no handling skills i.e. sloppy, Cal has a lot of speed. Irvine shot 68% in the 2nd half to get their recent victory against a mediocre Sac St. team. Cal @ home should win- I know 8 points is a lot however
