#4there is no reason to be scared,
only few games you should avoid to attend like fenrrbahce- gala, pana-olympiacos, if you r really scared lol
but i have to agree that passion in soccer is on a complete diffrrent level.
i sometimes have to laugh when i get home from a bundesliga game on sat and see these football crowdsComment -

#7It's all good, unless they're massive rivals and even then it's not what it used to be. If you're stupid enough to cruise around in eastern Europe, Turkey etc with away team supporters gear on derby night then you've got a few screws loose anyway.Originally posted by jjgoldI would be scared to death attending a soccer game in the UK or EuropeComment -

#9Mostly Americans go to sporting events to get drunk and have a good time, Europeans go to support the team and are usually drunk by game time. Infact I don't think most countries even sell alcohol in sporting eventsComment -

I don't make trips to Eastern Europe, Turkey etc. Other euro aways are fine though, went to Schalke this year.
Away games in the UK are as safe as you can get, granted I've never been to Millwall.Comment -

#20most of the real passionate fans, the kind that kill refs, players, and each other are 3rd world poor kinda people and dumb people.
they are passionate because they have nothing else.
many of us are passionate about our sports, but we also mostly have our families, bright futures, school, work, plenty of recreation and hobbies ect to also keep us happy.

#22The video showed each sport being very emotional.
I prefer going to college games because of the history and traditions, you don't get that in the NFL.
Soccer is crazier and causes riots, if they tried that in the U.S.
-They would have tons of riot police shooting cans of tear gas and rubber bullets everywhere.
American football would be as crazy, but we have a thing called policemen with balls over here!Comment -

#23Most of the riots in Soccer happen in countries that are:
1) Poor.
2) Going through political problems.
3) Have a horrible police force.
Try it in the US....you grab a policemen like some of those idiots in the videos, you'll be six feet under the next day!Comment -

Funny when someone shows a video or some piece of info in support of their point and the video actually works against their argument.Comment -

#26The real passionate fans, you are referring to, represent the minority of a fanbase of a certain soccer team. There are also passionate fans, who have families, school, work etc., which represent the majority of a fanbase.Originally posted by Chi_archie;20428140most of the real passionate fans, the kind that kill refs, players, and each other are 3rd world poor kinda people and dumb people.

It may sound crazy, but American football does have deeper and longer traditions than European football does!

#29Out of every 500 games maybe one has a riot in soccer. When was the last time there was a riot in a Champions League game or a World Cup game or qualifier? They play 10,000 games a year in soccer compared to 250 in NFL yet everyone thinks every soccer game is a riot.
