Coming off an embarrassing loss to the lowly Jaguars at home I expect the Texans to show up here. Pats coming off a big win at home and they have multiple injuries on defense. Keenum is due for a big game and even though they likely do not win the Texans should be able to keep this a 1 score game. 2 unit play on the +7.5
The Houston Texans should cover the 7.5 against the Patriots

#2I hope you win bro, but the way these fukers have been playing this season I'm not touching them. I won't even go to the damn games anymore. Too much hassle and I can watch them lose from home much easier.

#3I'm going to disagree with you on this one. I'm a diehard Patriots fan and this opinion is not a homer view. I truly believe the Texans have quit on Kubiak and on this season. Keenum is a flash-in-the-pan and New England knows how to finish seasons. Brady has looked much better since Gronk returned and looks to be getting stronger. The Patriots have 3 very viable RB options in Vareen, Blount and Ridley (when he's playing) and I think this could be a stinker. The Patriots haven't blown anyone out this season (semi against Pitt) and this might be the week. In a dome, after a hard fought game vs. Denver and the offense showing serious life heading towards another division title. Brady and Belichick almost always "seal the deal" and they'll be looking to do that this week vs. a weaker opponentComment -

#6this is the type of game the Texans should show up for regardless of whether they have given up on their coach or not. They rarely open it anymore anyway. A guy who does local sports talk here was ranting about how they even closed it during the Cougar High-SMU game Friday after they advertised that the roof would be open.

#18I love your play here EL because of the reasoning. Not betting the Texans in fear they may be tanking for the draft pick now though.
But if Texans aren't tanking they are insane value at home in this spot against a PAtriots team that is kind of overrated but still a good team, but in no way dominant compared to previous years.

#30Depending on what stats you look at and how you interpet them.
They lost to Raiders by 5 and then Jax by 7. Averaging 16 points in their 9 losses.
I'm rolling with the Pats. Texans MAY cover as they have kept it close in many of their losses, but I just don't see it happening.
Didn't they lose by 20 points to the Pats in January?Comment -

At one time it was said that they would never ever open up the roof because they thought it was an advantage. Funny how a long losing streak can change things.

#34Problem hasn't been the defense the entire year, they somehow used all of their clutch offense in the first two weeks and I guess ran out. Given Foster hasn't been a factor for a few weeks any team that employs him, Johnson, Tate, Hopkins and those TEs shouldn't be getting their shit pushed in every week. It's like the Chargers a few years ago, they have all the pieces just not the record to show it.Originally posted by CheckerboardHouston has top-rated defense overall in NFL and top-rated passing defense, according to CBS 2013 NFL stats:
