Put that order in at 2:30 PM yesterday. I sent the wire at 8:30am today. Course gold rallied like $10 over night and was up $25 more at the time I sent the wire. So pretty interested to see if they will honor the order. No doubt they would if the price fell.

Yes. Call them before you buy. If you buy 20 oz's or more you can ask for "dealer pricing" and knock off another $5. Real professional but a little more expensive than Monex. Also, I had a lost wire and they were cool about it. I'm sticking with them.

if the dollar collapses exactly what do you do with your gold bars. there won't be anywhere to spend them or cash them in. no grocery stores will be open and if they are will they take your gold bars. if you try to fly to europe will they take gold bars at the ticket counter. i doubt if a jeweler would buy them (with what?) and who would buy the gold earrings or bracelets with nothing but gold or silver to pay for them. even the paper money you have or stocks you currently have are worthless unless someone will accept them for payment for goods or services. so keep giving your cash away for precious metals you can't spend on anything anyway when the time comes. the people selling this junk are using your cash to buy the stuff you could be buying and enjoying. think....

Bought mostly Buffalo's and Eagles. Gave them to friends to hold, paid a bookie and sold some.

Keep in mind if you buy bullion or even foriegn made coins you will get an IRS form after the first few sold. There is no reporting at all with Buffalo's and Eagles because they are $50 face value coins, so US currency.

Of course, as has already been mentioned, buying more gets you the discounts. This applies more to silver than gold however because the margins are already so tight. You're not buying gold to get rich, you're already rich. Buy some (liberties) and just hang onto them. Liberties are important because they monetized.

Don't like to touch gold bars? I show them off to my buddies all the time. If the stock market collapses or your bank goes belly up you still own the gold bars at home whereas your stocks could be worthless or your money in the bank gone.

Coins carry a premium over bars. So a bar might fetch $10 over spot where a US gold coin will fetch $25 over spot. Keep in mind there are NO IRS reporting when trading US gold coins because they are real currency. There IS IRS reporting when you go to sell bars or coins from another country. One might be able to deduce that a profit from trading US minted gold coins could be a tax free profit event.
