I will be attending the shootout later this week, I leave for Alaska tomorrow. Amric Fields coming back is HUGE. Before he came back the only player over 6'5 TCU had was Kavair Shepherd. Shepherd is the best freshman to play at TCU since Kurt Thomas, was a top 40 recruit and #3 center overall. But he has had no help. Defenses simply collapse on him in the paint. With Fields, there is a power forward now to help spread things out. With that being said, TCU basketball still has a lot of injuries and depth could be an issue, but that will be later in the tournament. Tonight with Fields back they should be fine.

Got on the right side on the number. Scares me that everyone is on TCU but I feel it's the right play and glad I got on early.

TCU and auto-play don't belong in the same sentence. Didn't they have like 2 conference wins last year.

AK Anchorage is a decent DII team. They always get a victory or two at this tournament, and they're always the underdog.

From what I've seen of this game, TCU's basketball IQ is fairly low. They have some talent, but they are confused as hell at times.

They have been so undisciplined tonight ... missed layups, poor rotations around the perimeter, wasted possessions, etc.

There is talent there, though. They can grow a lot as this season progresses.

Anchorage has been the better team, and they look pretty sound for a D2 school. I'm not surprised they are ranked so high in D2. If they win tonight, they have a good chance to upset Tulsa as well.

Here I go talking about how sound Anchorage has been, and they make a horrible mistake and throw an in-bounds pass out of bounds with a one-point lead in the final minute.

Fields makes the game-winner, then adds a pair of FTs to push the OP's spread bet. TCU's talent prevailed in the end.

The better team tonight lost, but I'm pleased with the result.

I tried to lay them off second half with au getting 4.5. A win by 3 is the only score that could possibly lose both ways. Nice
