No worries bud, I had a bit of a rough patch and had to work my waqy back into it. It has been a fantastic first month back placing wagers full time. The NBA (previously my bread and butter) this past season was not good....and I know now I just wasn't putting in enough work. Keeping my record was tough when for the first 8 months I never had a losing week....losing was humbling to say the least.
MLB has been good to me and soccer was absolutely amazing for me. ATP is also just as good as ever (I believe that tennis is the easiest money to be made in the world of sports betting).
I hope you check in more....especially since I will be posting results and keeping track again starting today.

In my opinion Sousa should also be a slight fave here.....and yet he pays even money.
The last match should not be close. Rosol is a decent server but this is Bautista-Agut's to lose....and he wins here more than 80% of the time.
Germany....do I need to say anything? I like this as our final WC play....a WC that has been amazing for us....I am sorry to see it end.

Ok, so we won our first bet of the morning with Bautista-Agut. It took a little more effort than it should have but when he decided it was time he closed it out easily. Up two units ($100) we are basically now free rolling on the other two dogs we are on in the ATP.
MLB plays to come in a bit. I may miss a game or two as I am in bed enjoying my Sunday am.Comment -
Ok, I don't know what the world is thinking here but everyone is on Cuevas. The line has moved from +100 which I thought was too high already to +140! I should be jumping all over this and hitting it again for bigger money, but for some reason it is scaring me off a little.
Cuevas as is coming off of an injury that put him out a year. His best two matches have been against Verdasco (a narrow loss at the French in five sets and beating him in this event) so it seems that this is a player he matches up well against. This is his first ATP final ever and should certainly have some nerves....I don't believe that Sousa has any injuries of any sort.
At +140 IMO this is HUGE value....and the public is scaring me off of betting it again. So frustrating. This is AT WORST a flip 'em.Comment -

Thanks man......I got complacent in the second half of the NBA season and my results showed it. I hate that the WC is over, but MLB seems to be paying off now that I am putting in the effort. Last year at this time I had to take a break.....but I feel it this time around.

Incidentally, did an underdog ever win at the World Cup? I paid very little attention and only made a few under bets, because I know next to nothing about soccer. Seems like the favorites pretty much swept the board through the whole tournament, though.Comment -
No major dog has won in decades, not since the world rankings have been standardized.
I ended up 55-28 in the WC and went 6-0-1 in the last secen games (would have been better but I missed my bet on the under today....was at a friends and forgot the time (his brother passed away 5 days ago and there were bigger things to talk about).
No dog won after the initial round robin, not in my opinion anyway. Some may say CR over Greece, and maybe I am forgetting a game somewhere, BUT the money wsn't made betting favourites, it was betting the dogs plus goals, where they were constantly getting the game to extra periods and betting unders. The first rounds set up amazing odds on the unders because of the huge goal production.
I am not a huge soccer fan. I actually think this helps me. I did a ton of reading on teams, their tendancies and then just followed trends. Because I had no internal 'leans' I don't have to worry about bias, and the WC was fantastic for me. I think this is also why I hit some other sports and why the NHL (the sport I follow most closely) is a little tougher for me....still profitable but definitely tougher to make money.
Sometimes I wonder if becoming an expert in Philipino Basketball and the WNBA wouldn't be the quickest way to get rich. Most others betting those sports are only tilting from other bets they have lost and have no idea what side to be on.Comment -
I can definitely understand it....but there is still so much money out there for me in sports that I am addicted to and love that I do not see any real reason to change it up.
If I can profit a grand a month betting small (yes I still have dreams bigger than that) that makes life even better than it already is. Right now I am leaving all of my $ online so that I can start to raise my limits again. Last year I was anywhere from $100 to $500 and I am still betting between $50 and $150 (although I still hit the occasional game for more, see Germany Brazil for $440).Comment -
There has to be some true goldmines out there. WNBA/Phillipine/EU hoops, small shitty soccer leagues or even 2nd/3rd divisions. books gotta spend waaaaay less resources making sharp lines for those leagues..
The only problem is finding the time and motivation to get into a boring league, with no HD streaming when theres always MLB NBA NHL etc to bet on

Exactly. That's why I believe the ATP Tour, especially the smaller events can be so profitable. Lots of write ups on the matches, and some very sharp people out there to follow with great break downs of even the most obscure matches. Since I have started to find those I am winning at an even better clip (although I had a stretch last year where I went a documented 24-2 in the course of a week.....doubt I can ever equal that).There has to be some true goldmines out there. I also Believe tennis is one of the best sports to bet on. 1v1, soooooo many games. Friend of mine has been making tons of profit livebetting ITF tennis. Pretty much only betting on under 6.5/7.5/8.5 games in a given set, or on someone to break. breaks are usually between +100 and +200, and 17 year old girls can't serve for shit.
The problem is the limited availability of stats, my friend pretty much kept an eye on the livescores for 10 hours a day.. no way i could do that
