Probably to fluff the score up for the computers. They do have a small percentage to make it to the championship! It would take a huge improbable chain reaction, with FSU, Alabama, Mizzou, Auburn, Ohio state, Clemson, etc. all losing in some fashion.

He never said they shouldn't have done it, he was asking if there's any history there as to why. Most coaches don't do that shit because it's risking bad blood and unnecessary injury.
