Exactly. Not saying he is lucky or a horrible coach, but this will only work in HS because of how bad the kickers are in HS. Once you get to College you usually have a good kicker (not always true; I have seen some really bad college kickers).

i can see the not punting thing to a degree especially in hs where punters arent as good, some situations not punting it would seem absolutely retarded IMO.

onside kick makes sense if you dont have a kicker who cant make the endzone (automatic touchback in high school, in pennsylvania at least)
