That statement is bordering on the absurd, right? Why does the same logic not apply to basketball?
It's not a hard rule. Put two hands on a player with the ball, it's a foul. Keep one hand on the player with the ball, it's a foul.
These aren't hard rules. It's not even that hard to get used to it, as all it requires you to play is actual defense. Not the bullshit defense one plays with their hands. I can play defense with my feet, and I am not a D1 athlete.
It's pointless getting upset about these rules, because it does make the game better, and it isn't going anywhere.
As far as the charge/block rule change, that is the best rule change since they implemented a shot clock. That makes this game so much more superior than without it.Comment -
