argentina not that good of a team, yes they have a lot of history which makes them a great team, but they havent done shit in the last 25 years
only thing they got going for them is the fact that this game is being played in their back yard, and even that might not be that big of an advantage, local fans will probably be rooting for belgium because of the brazil-argentina rivalry, and as for the weather, most of these players all play in europe, so they are accustomed to the same type of weatherComment -

yes, as you said, underachieving, its a state of mind, they have developed a loser mentality which is hard to shake
maybe they advance, but the odds suggest that books arent showing them any loveComment -

I'm pretty sure you still live in Argentina and not in Europe?
At least you're coach is more clever, because they intend to put defensive midfielder Demichilis in the starting squad against Belgium to have a more defensive midfield. So far for the 'ooooeeh all the other teams played with shit in their pants". Looks like this time you are the ones playing with "poop". But I really hope that you guys attack like against the other teams, that is when Belgium gets space and the last thing you want, is to give them space. You're goalkeeper is far from as good as Howard, and your defense is a joke. So if you want to get that 3-0 victory I would suggest you think of a better tactic than "blindly attacking and give all the balls to messi". But sadly you"re not the coach , so it isn't gonna be that easy for us.Comment -

Belgium squad is promising for future. They're too young now.Comment -

I see football 24 hours a day. I can assure you the second time against Switzerland Argentina was great. European teams come to America to hang onto the crossbar. Argentina's defense is very good, is entering tuning, the problem is that the South American teams have few previous matches together. Do not be put off by low-scoring results, thinking beyond that.Comment -

#188The football genius Senser. Howard better than Romero? (When and Where was the Goalkeepers Award?) I would like to know on which he relies to say that? Belgium kick on goal 18 times and got two goals. Belgium against Argentina will kick 3 or 4 times.Comment -

#190Pretty funny how you find Romero to be great. He played for AZ and the Dutch press really laughed at him. They can't understand Argentina doesn't have a better goalkeeper than that. I also can't believe you find your defense to be good, while it was outplayed by Iran. If they played more offensively, you would have lost.
Maybe you watch 24hr of south american football , but deff not European.
Als pretty laughable that the stadium will be supporting Argentina, while all Brazilians will be supporting Belgium.Comment -

#191There's no team left in the tournament that's going to give argentina problems. They're way to experienced for Belgium. They won't have trouble there. I predicted a Germany ARgentina finals from the start in my germany thread and i will stick to that prediction. The Dutch are a great team but they can be exposed on the counter and ARgentina is simply too fast in that respect. The Dutch have such a dominant big 3 though that you can never count them out.
And remember when I said the Dutch would be in the finals 4 years ago lakerman when no one gave them a chance to beat Brazil and others? They are the same team as 4 years ago.
Belgium doesn't know how to deal with offensive pressure. That's what ARgentina is gonna do to them. It'll be an open game with lots of opportunities but I think Messi will find the back of the net twice, if not a hatrick in this game. He keeps the ball low always and that's tough on a tall keeper.
We'll see what happens. None of the teams this year are very strong like they were a decade ago, when all the powerhouse teams were stacked.
But yeah, I don't think Belgium can beat ARgentina without being able to control possession and the midfield, which is the key to beating Argentina. No team left in the tournament can do that imo with possibly the Germans.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#199I entered some contest where me and several other people were assigned teams to win the cup. I got Belgium which will pay $5,000 if they win it all. They've really looked like shit the entire tourney thus far. Very underachieving and acting like they really don't give a shit. I'm hoping they can tie this up but I doubt it.Comment -
