So the Dolphins had been the bread & butter sack prop, but as pointed out by some smart peeps on the board last week they are using a quicker release for Tannehill now that makes them not quite the best bet. This week though, I think we've got a good banger elsewhere.

Raiders-Steelers Total Sacks Over 5.5 [-115]
We've got two of the top eight sack prone clubs in the NFL. Oakland specifically has been giving up sacks at an alarming rate the last few weeks. Admittedly the Chiefs pass rush is rabid, but 10 sacks last week is still stunning. San Diego the week before tallied four. The Redskins put Raiders' QBs on the turf seven times. The issue here is can a mediocre to poor Pittsburgh pass rush take advantage? I think they can do enough. On the other side, the Steelers have given up at least three sacks in five out of six overall. Oakland doesn't have the best pass rush either, but they have some talent and I think can also take advantage of Pittsburgh's protection problems/Big Ben holding the ball too long.

They took 4 trailing in the fourth if memory serves. Will be on it next week against Cincy with them as dogs. They're good for a few themselves of course.

Yeah well 4th quarter if the game is reasonably close, a lot more passing plays for one team and a chance for the pass rush to load up and go for it.

We have our auto play tonight w/Miami. The Fish have given up a league leading 32 sacks. Cincy's pass rush ranks just a shade above the middle of the pack with 22 sacks. Cincy is in the bottom 3rd in sacks given up, but Miami has been pretty steady about getting 2-3 sacks per game which would jive with the Bengals stats. As usual, you would expect more the sacks to come from the Bengals. Obviously would love to see a team with a lead in the 4th that forces one team to throw quite a bit to help!

this seems bout solid as they come, phins cant protect and tannehill still holds ball too long. depends on cincy gm plan but if they choose to pass a lot i think fish get dalton at least 3 times, quite possibly 4.. gl EP

I don't think there is any more of a correlation between # of sacks and points than there is between the # of yards and points. You can roll up 600 yards, but if you stall out in the red zone or turn it over, you get very few points. Sacks likewise don't necessarily mean a team isn't moving the ball. They can get sacked for a loss of 8 and then gain 35 on the next play. So, I just stick to the prop and don't read anything more into it other than the O-LINES & D-LINES and how they are performing.

I am almost 100% positive that a newer quicker release wont fix these issues.

Tannehill's cadence is painfully predictable. Turn up the sound at home, and listen to it.

Everytime the guy says "GO GO" before the snap, it is a run. Everytime he says "GO" before the snap, it is a pass. It's been like this going on 3 weeks now. Might be longer due to the fact I only noticed it 3 games ago.

Tonight, for some reason, it is even more obvious. As a result, I think other teams are getting a solid jump.

Sorry if I'm hijacking thread, but I'd be leery about playing correlated plays outside of a parlay alongside each other (not to mention, as EP said you'd have to cap them separately certainly), because you run the risk of overexposing yourself, or possibly playing something you shouldn't be playing (i.e. 1u on each when 1 is clearly a better play). Not saying I wouldn't, just FWIW.

11.3.13: Bills-Chiefs Over 5.5 [-180]
The price is pretty high on this one. If you can find six, I would go there and take the price relief. These are the top two sack teams in the league. We're also looking at two teams in the bottom quarter of the league as far as the number of sacks they allow per game. It all makes for a good try on this prop.
