Who else you gonna bat there? You put Molina there and they can pitch around Molina easier IMO with Adams hitting behind him or Jay or whomever. He's the logical choice amongst the crap they have.

You could say Beltran or Holliday needs to be there, but then who slots into the two hole if Beltran moves? No one has really talked about how much this team misses Allen Craig in the middle of the order. And still, they are a win away from the World Series without one of their most productive bats.

Cards have Mark Reynolds now, who is a very good fielder, and despite his whiffs has way better numbers vs lefties than Adams, and usually has a decent OBP.
