To call it a quarter, you have to have 4 frames in the game like in a basketball for example...hockey only has 3, plus overtime if needed.
You gotta be very careful what regulation bet you place, because there are a few different ones that your book might offer.

Some of the examples would be: Win outright in regulation (minus 0.5), Regulation ML (lower odds, than the 1st example and canceled if the game goes to OT).... and then of course you have a standard Moneline (straight win in the game with overtime included, the game doesn't have to go to OT though for you to cash the ticket).
