i mostly do moneyline stuff when i have the chance: mlb, nhl, soccer, beauty pageants, etc.

sometimes i layoff for days, other times i jam in the medium-frequency betting, so a lot of people are annoyed by this.

i rank plays rarely - most recently, i did a huge bet this past Monday on Kershaw against ATL (and a little larger than normal bet on Verlander last night), but that is about it. no one cares about amounts anyway.

i do my best to post daily and keep track of +/- .. if there is a pitching change, either layoff the pick unless i repost with the new pitcher listed.

    here we go:

St. Louis Cardinals ML +110 (Z Greinke J Kelly)

It's crazy - I put my original post in the service play forum, but the SBRAdmin said that since it comes from me and not a listed handicapper, they moved me to this forum.

Thanks man - some guys who bet @ the Hill and play poker at the Wynn and Venetian told me to start posting my picks and my record so they can track it.

Hey no problem I totally get it: I would rather have someone cry wolf and be warned for nothing than get screwed over by silence.

Good luck the rest of the way guys

for sure you haven't and neither did the SBRAdmin - that's why they moved my post from the service plays forum to here.

i got an infraction for that too!

                it's because of Kershaw here:

                and Verlander:

and Wainwright (I didn't post that one) that I'm starting this up. I really don't know what will become of this, but I want to see where this goes.

There are a bunch of guys in this forum that bet WAY MORE than I do, and those are the guys have a very unique angle on a lot of these games.

I mentioned in my original post that I will keep all bets flat, and I won't adjust my track record for bet rankings or stronger plays. FYI: on my actual betting, I am going 8.5x on Kershaw and the Dodgers today, and 4X on the Dodger Series.

I originally thought about trying to middle the Dodger Series yesterday, but there was not a lot of reward/risk @ +120 on St. Louis. Now the Dodgers are @ +135, so let's put on the first leg today.

Los Angeles Dodgers ML -140 (C Kershaw M Wacha )
Boston Red Sox ML -140 (A Sanchez J Lester )
Los Angeles Dodgers (to win series against St. Louis) ML +135

I had Boston +128 and Dodgers -132 bet at 3 different places as an average, but I forgot to post it here and it's too late - game is starting for LAD, so I won't count it in the thread.

This is what happens when you haggle with car maintenance pricing at the auto shop all day long.

1433 for radiator and thermostat replacement, all 4 struts/shocks, cv joint/axle replacement and boots. Good deal, but I had to haggle with the manager, who ended up being a really cool guy.

OK, back to a normal bet state of mind.

For most Dodger fans, giving up 3 runs IS probably Nolasco's game of his life - anyway, I split last night's games but can't past post it in the record section.

                                            Detroit changing their lineup tonight:

                                            1.Hunter
                                            2.Cabrera
                                            3.Prince
                                            4.Martinez
                                            5.Peralta
                                            6.Avila

I think the Tigers have a really good chance tonight with this lineup.

I really want to see the Dodgers and Red Sox in the World Series. I still have an active LAD Series bet, and I want to see Kershaw and Ryu win. Unfortunately, my signal says to do the following play, but I really don't like it:

St. Louis Cardinals ML +120 (Kershaw vs. Wacha)

Even though this is for the betting thread, on some level I hope I actually lose this bet.

Too bad the Dodgers didn't win the series, but the correct bet is the Cardinals. Win the game, lose the series.

Giants are terrible, but luckily Minnesota is even worse. I take a W anytime, any which way.

Inside hedge fund circles, most of the guys do like John Henry a lot better than some of the other crapheads on the street. He took less risk (still high though) than most, and he just stayed at it for a while. A lot of people in Boston have bitched about this and that over the last few years, but he had to make big moves (like what fund managers often do) to get the position right. I hope they win this year.
