no i haven't. but honestly i don't have to . .i am sure its decent .. just not what i consider a sick steakhouse.. something that i would be bragging about.. its like going to tony romas and bragging about how you had the best ribs in the world .. i guess that is what i was getting at..

Alexander's is not a crappy steakhouse. When I was in Champaign (granted, a long time ago), I thought it was the best in town. Not aying it's the best steakhouse in the country, but it's pretty damn good. It's not a fukkin Outback.

1)i LOVE a good steak as much as anyone...for Champaign, thats an excellent steak Texas Roadhouse or Outback are fine as well, but i wanted to take these guys somewhere unique

Cook it yourself is unique but that doesn't mean the steaks are bad. They display all the steaks and you can choose your own cut. They are aged and excellent. I believe they have different size options, nothing unusual. If you haven't been there you don't know.
