it looks like i wont have it out of the gate since im on time warner but it would be nice if this channel put a little heat on espn and their band of jerkoffs

supposedly a lot of mma, college football and hoops, nascar, some mlb next year

im all for more games on tv

ESPN is hurting big time. They got lucky with the college deals, but even then their bottom line will be hurt.

NBC already has headhunted some of the better people in sports broadcasting. I assume Fox 1 will tax ESPN even more in that regard.

Pretty soon, ESPN will be the skip bayless show. It's already painfully sterile.

If only people could follow this exact same logic with political parties, this country would have a much better fighting chance.

mlb network proved that a good model can beat espn...theyve made baseball tonight irrelevant because of good people including brian kenny who they poached from espn

im watching the angels/yanks game and doug glanville is doing commentary....smart guy....good guy...not the least bit engaging or entertaining of a guy....and rick sutcliffe is a fukkin arrogant drunk

+1 MLB Network is great. ESPN getting old and tired. Cannot listen to Boomer and Jackson on Sundays or Mondays. Clown show. I will be interested in seeing how they do with NCAA Foots.

I prefer my commentators to be strange as shit or unique. Bill Walton and Gus Johnson do it for me. I have noticed I am in the absolute minority on this one. Wish Chuck would get out the studio and be a color guy, but that would entail him actually watching a game - and we all know Chuck ain't 'bout that shit.

That said, there is not another sports caster on the planet before or since, that I believe is better than Mike Tirico.

Can't imagine Fox not getting it done with all three of them by Saturday, it would be horrible for them to launch like that, plus consumers with those providers would be pretty ticked. Then again I thought Time Warner would have CBS back within 24 hours of their dispute. But for launching a network and 50 Million people not having it would be awful. Especially the effort they put to stack the UFC card

Direct TV viewers: Just checked Sat. morning and channel 219 used to be the Speed channel and now says FS1 for Fox Sports 1. I think this is where the channel will be....I think...lol

Yep the placement is real bad for mine. There is an open channel right next to Espn, Espn2, big ten network, and fox sports detroit and they decide to put it around the Disney channel and lifetime.
