yes, I vaguely remember that game show and host, KLC...without cheating or googling, I also guessed Steve Carlton at the trivia question!...

...PS...my favorite game show of all-time was "TIC TAC DOUGH" with Wink Martindale!...that game was the first trivia, history, sports, politics, world events, science, arts and literature, etc. rolled into different categories...I loved the "Maps of States" category and anything sports related.

Star studded w/real sports heroes of the time! Amazing sports highlights, too.
Couldn't beat it.

I was but a mere lad when it was on back in early 70's but I remember it.

I used to watch it. It was cutting edge at that time. Long before 150 cable stations to choose from and social media.

OMG! I forgot all about that show! Great find. I just wish there were more sports trivia shows like those now. A couple of more recent ones I liked were "Beat The Schwab", and then one they had on MLB Network a few years ago called "Baseball IQ".
