Do you see the irony in your post?

You were ready to call Dom Brown a breakout 5-tool player based on 26 ABs during spring training. You made your 2013 season prediction based on just 26 spring ABs.

Brown has TWICE as many regular season ABs----(52), and he is hitting .231.

AND NOW-- you're saying "season isn't even a month old...."

That is some priceless shit. 26 spring ABs mean something----52 regular season ABs is too small of a sample size.

Dom Brown now batting .214. Brown has had 2 hits in the last 9 games.

Oh, and he still doesn't have a single stolen base.

Reds Pitcher Mike Leake has more runs scored and extra base hits than Brown has over the last 10 games, and Leake only played in 2 of the games.

          Where are you Philly.

          Chime in.

What happened to Dom Brown is Charlie fukkin Manuel.

He is the worst manager in baseball by far.

He started Brown in left field for last half of last season and through all of spring training this year.

Then what does this fukking nitwit do?

Naturally, he starts him in right and then he wonders why Brown struggled defensively.

What manager does such idiot things like this?

Only Manuel, or should I say his real name Elmer Befuddled.

As for Brown's offense it will come. He just needs the at-bats.

                                Through 44 games....

Brown with a way too long swing against righties. When he shortens his stroke same length as against lefties he will be a real good hitter. The longer he plays the better he will read pickoffs and use his speed.

                                  Lot of upside.

                                    Brown is 26 years old.

                                    He is a .240 hitter.

Not sure you can change a player's swing at this point. He is either a major league hitter or he's not.

They are under everyone's radar for some reason.

Have the Phillies quietly built themselves into a contender once again with their offseason bullpen acquisitions and the return to full health of Chase Utley and Ryan Howard?

Remember, this is a team that still has a starting rotation of Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee, and Roy Halladay.

Did the Phillies just swerve the entire National League?

even after a slow start, the kid is on pace for 33 hr and 96 RBI in his first full yr in the majors.. Really gonna hate on a kid for that? Those are monster numbers for anyone in their first full yr I don't care who you are

He isn't going to hit 33 HRs.

Brown has a history of fading once July rolls around. If he manages the numbers you suggest, I'll be the first to salute him.

But right now, Brown is more Adam Dunn than he is Bryce Harper or Mike Trout.

                                                            Huh?

I think you need to check that Phillies lineup again.

Michael Young, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard, Ben Revere, John Mayberry Jr all have higher batting averages and OBP higher than Brown.

Brown's hitting HRs because teams have no reason NOT to pitch to him.
