Wasn't gonna bother to respond to this but, I have to disagree. If April rolls around & I have $2,701, I have realized a profit & at the risk of sounding immodest, I'm having more than I have had in 10-20 years.

Arrived at the Monte Carlo just in time to register for the Daily $50. There ended up being 23 entrants and I found myself at the final table where they paid the top 3. When I made the final 4 I asked for a chop & the chip lead wasn't having any of that. So I played my game & luckily the 4th went out & I finished 3rd. Not much but, a cash is a cash! $135.
Before the Tourney started I bet a 2 game Parlay with Syracuse & the Angels for $10.
After the Daily I watched the Orange game in the sportsbook & saw that an old driver I remember was on a horse named Tom Kitten (Edgar Prado), wish I had more balls but I laid $5 show & he came 2nd, it paid $7.50.
I finally found Canadian cigarettes, not my brand but that cost $9.50 & since I had a fair day I treated myself to some real food on the walk home back DENNY'S. ($10)
How come the waitress looked at me like I just walked of a space ship when I asked her for relish?
Relish isn't a Canadian thing is it?
Anyway, A total profit of $67.50 on the day (after expenses) so far & I still have the 2 gamer alive, it's 9-2 for the Angels so, that's looking good too!
Here's another expense I wasn't counting on. I've been walking up & down the strip so much that the soles of my shoes are worn down to the rubber bottoms. I'm gonna pick up a pair of Adidas or Reboks at this place called Ross for $18-$19. Really low prices at this Ross place!

Also this hotel has changed the rate on me for the weekend after promising that they wouldn't. They say because I didn't use a CC to hold the room they are allowed to do this.
I'm upset but not gonna fight with them about it, just gonna head to the even cheaper hotel sooner.

lol its not that bad. Also they give comps really easy down there. Plus gather up all there player cards and use there freeplay.

I'll bet you my hometown is even colder! It's funny because I woke up my 1st day here & walked up the strip, gathering Poker Room info in jeans and a hoodie & was happy I had it on. On the way back down the strip I was sweating like Ali in the 10th round.
The temp changes drastically from the morning to the afternoon.
I'm chilled at 7:00-8:00 AM then I'm by the pool tanning at 1:00-2:00 PM
Gotta love this crazy Nevada Desert weather!

So, I'm outside lighting my cigarette, steaming over the Marquette Eagles & there's 3 asian guys smoking too, when these two red necks with beers in hand, walk outta the lobby and make a racial slur about the gang of nippers.
All I say is, "Cmon guys, no need for that."
Red #1 tells me to phuck myself while Red #2 eyeballs me.
I ask them if they're heading to the strip & Red #1 tells me to mind my business or something like that.
I said if they head to the strip acting like this they're gonna end up in the clink tonight.
Red #2 spits at me and misses.
Now, I'm no TTWarrior but, I've knocked out bigger than these two but, as they turned away & walked towards the strip I quickly realized that this is not the part of the city where I wanna learn I can't handle my alcohol.

Jay- coming from someone in the industry, get player cards at all the casinos and stick to the places you like and build up comp goodwill. If you want to eat cheap but not fast food go to Chinatown or get the 7.77 steak dinner at mr. Lucky's at hard rock. Venetian poker room play will get you some food comps.

McDonalds is fine here and there but you're slowly killing yourself eating that garbage every day and sometimes more
