Surely do not need this bad press about thug gangs after dark .
This will put the nail in if not rapidly corrected.Comment -

#5049What's your game? Do you have a system? If you don't win, what's your stop loss for the day?
If you win, will you leave and be done for the day?
You should have money set aside for lodging, food, gambling and most important, money to get home.
Too many people go there and are broke sleeping in alleys, don't be them.
GL. You have bigger balls than me. Luckily, I have a casino within 20 mins of the house. I can go home broke.
Yeah, I'd prepay the lodging then set out with the 2700.
You have to practice money management also, it might work.Comment -

#5050Imo several places already rival it if not better. NJ, PA, IL, IA, MS. All have several different brands of books per state. Online or in person. You'll never get a place that has as many casinos next to each other in close proximity like vegas but if you just need lines to compare those 5 states I just listed are as good as Vegas. Actually better if you use all the bonuses and odds boosts and shit they offer. Vegas is dead. I have no reason or desire to ever go there again now that sports is legal all over the Midwest and East. Legal online was the game changer. It's what put the nail in the coffin for Vegas. Vegas will alway get people from California coming in but people from the East and Midwest have no reason to go to Vegas anymore. Most of the Vegas casinos use the same 3 or 4 makers anyway so not much variety out there on lines anyway.Comment -

People don’t go to Vegas to bet sports.
Vegas doesn’t rely on sports betting revenue.
People go to Vegas for vacations.
People go out to Vegas to attend sporting events like boxing matches.
People fly out to Vegas to play in golf tournaments.
Etc. etc. etc....
My favorite band is the Las Vegas based rock band the Killers.
The last time I flew out to Vegas was to watch their show.
Oh sure I bet sports on a weekly basis, and I play poker too.
But I didn’t fly out to Vegas to bet sports, I can do that here, I can play poker here.
What I can’t do here is see a show with my favorite band play a ten year anniversary gig.
That’s why I flew out to Vegas.
You think Vegas gives a shit about legal sports betting in Pa?
About the same as Vegas gives a shit about Guido the local bookie taking bets in any town USA.
Vegas doesn’t need sports betting and even if they won’t tell you Vegas casinos would rather use the square footage used for sports books for a slot machines.Comment -

#5052Yes, it is a loss leader nash, I agree, but it's obviously a very important part of the casino for excitement and more.
habitual, I agree with you, I would go for march madness every year but it devolving into random shootings and low level people combined with the fact that it isn't close for midwest or east coasters makes me think twice (the 2 remaining books may be the cherry on top - it used to be fun to shop lines for the weekend games at 5 different locations, and you could do it on foot).
The main reason I was asking was for a spot that maybe wasn't as many casinos, but a couple and a nice sportsbook with warmer weather. There will be more and more midwest/south/FL books that pop up I presume, and as long as they are attended (it is fun to cheer with the other degens) it would be a consideration.Comment -

I’ll go back to Vegas, but it won’t be for gambling.
That doesn’t mean while in Vegas I won’t gamble it won’t be the primary reason for going.
Like I mentioned pretty much everything Vegas has to offer gambling wise I can get here in Ct. or across state lines in NJ or Mass. And Pa. is close too.Comment -

#5056If you like it though man, do you. Whatever floats your boat. I just don't care for it anymore. It's on the decline while other cities are rising. Now that sports is legal in a bunch of states there's literally nothing I could do in Vegas that I couldn't do in other cities. Yet Vegas still charges premium prices for everything like parking and resort fees. It's ridiculous.Comment -

#5058That Killers show in LV was the Sam's Town gig.
I probably didn't make that clear.
That was a once in a lifetime gig that was pretty much by invite from the band itself.
But your points are valid, my point is I'll probably be back but for a reason I just mentioned.Comment -

#5059I used to like the Killers when I was youuuuuuungggg. Ba da da da dum. Lol. They were big when I was early high school years or maybe middle school, can't remember. I'm younger than most people on this forum. Anyway they're a good band but I started liking them less once I found out they had ties to Mormonism. But I get your point about Vegas. Many people would still go to Vegas to attend conventions or for business trips also.Comment -

#5060The images have become all too common in recent weeks, violent crimes occurring with regularity in Las Vegas tourist areas, including at high-end resorts. Now, confirmation from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that a problem exists. "We are noticing an increase in gang members from other states. We're noticing an increase in robberies, stabbings, shootings that are happening from individuals from out of state," said Capt.Comment -
