how did I miss this thread!

First off Jay I wish you the best, but you simply need more capital. Can't you cash advance a CC or something for a few thousand?

Here's the problem, you're mental stability is going to break down grinding $14 bets. Even a win feels like a loss because wtf is $14. This is a losing proposition, assuming you're not homeless and can go back home if this thing doesn't work out.

Also being exposed to an environment that promotes partying and temptations at every glance, is going to also break you down mentally, not being able to participate in the activities. It's very tough to do something like this on you're own. You need a riding partner to help balance you and give you a second out.

Are you trying to get a job out there? Steady income is my first recommendation, even if its part time 8/10$ hour. This will keep you're mind busy and allow you too network with others in the city.

Anyway I wish you the best man...

i cant figure out why although im sure he has some sort of personal reasons i wouldnt understand

as for the bet sizes i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt....hell theres a lotta guys on here who lead different existences than me so who am i to say....but he's leading the life of a dime player for a guy whos literally betting dimes

I might be able to get a job flicking cards on the strip but I don't wanna work her illegally. I had three drinks today & stayed sober. It was really a bad string of about three hands that killed me today.
I met up with LVHerbie & we played a few slots & I won back about everything I lost in the poker room.
KU & the under panned out for me too to the tune of $42.
Only 6-7 hours away from my freeroll seat on Saturday.
Even if I can't beat the game I can survive for 6 hours even if I have to rebuy the table minimum 2-3 times for $40-60 bucks.
After I bubble in that I'll have a few problems but there are weekly freerolls at the Excalibur that I can look into next week.

Going to be very, very rough, as others have said, makes more sense to do something else until you have a larger BR, but more power to you.

I asked Jay not to post the exact specifics but we mostly just hustled some promos/coupons... Very low risk stuff with everything being solidly +ev and all was very safe given Jay's roll.

Bro, JV you're awesome for doing this but like others have said, watch the drinks. Its costly and you won't think straight. You were fine till you lost yourself with the booze.

Pick yourself up, get out there and plan/research your bets. Don't see what's up in the next hour and rush it. Eat well and stick to the plan.

I think if you search back I made note of this. In fact I remember saying how there wasn't a greater city than this in the world. My issues were usually with the guns & the culture of racism. That hasn't changed. But like anywhere else in the world, there are good people & bad people. That whole thing started, as I remember when a few select posters told me that they were unhappy that they're taxes paid for my broke ass. Anyway, I'm not in a place right now where I wanna talk politics or economy. I addressed you're concerns with my opinions since those posts when I was new here & I can only hope that on some political issues we can agree to disagree & that any ill feelings you have towards me are water under the bridge.

You missed a lot! So you don't have to go back and read I highlighted a few key moments. On page 5 he talks about how he beat a prostitute for stealing some of his dental floss. Hey man when you are done with with the Monte Carlo free roll start playing poker rooms with 2$ an hr comps and no high hand jackpots( lower rake). As for betting 14 a game or so, you may as well shut down sports till you get your roll back up via poker.

Get 50% of your roll out there on 3 games tonight. Go to one of the good books and relax and watch your games. Do the same thing tomorrow and the next day. 3 games, 50% of your roll.

Nick, after the Monte Carlo I will be looking into the $2-$6 flex game at Excalibur where they have weekly freerolls.

D2D, you may not be Coop but, you have the same philosophy as he does. If it weren't for the huge sports bets I made on the Irish & the Cuse I would have a lot more cash right now. You may look at it like I am doing nothing but, I am in fact doing something at $14 a bet & $35 a day in the poker room. It's just not everybody's speed but, I get that.

Old Karate Man-I hate to appear that I am putting all my eggs in one basket but yes, I have now lost $135 trying to beat that game in the Monte Carlo Poker room while grinding out the freeroll hours & if I don't cash in it I am not going to be looking to good after Saturday.

Besides hitting the Jays & Hawks parlay it wasn't a very lucrative day. I'd love to go into how I was reamed in the poker room with all in blind raises (No Joke) & rivers that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. but bottom line is hippo wants his balance update so...Balance: $574

With a small bet on the Lakers to cover.
& an even smaller bet on the Kings.
