Refs took that one away from us. Pietrangelo got crushed from behind 5 seconds before the Coyotes tied it up. Blatant check from behind, no call.

Congrats on the $ line cash. If I get beat straight up, I have no problem. The way that last 3 minutes went down was just ridiculous. They mess up the Backes call, so you figure the refs will blow the whistle at the slightest infraction as a make up call for the Blues. Instead, Pietrangelo gets blasted square in the numbers in the corner and they let it go. Blues players throw their hands up, Vrabata gets free on the opposite side of the ice in the confusion of the no-call and scores on a terrible angle. Crackin' a beer.

That would have made it 4 on 4 with the faceoff in the PHX zone and you would have hit your bet for sure.

I'm not sure on 5dimes. With a $0.35 difference I would guess no. Or I could just be getting a terrible number on a prop bet here. I know prop odds vary widely from book to book.

Man the last two weeks have been WEIRD. I mean I know hockey can be weird but the last two weeks have been more so than normal. I've had 4 plays this week that I picked the right team to win but had them in reg, they went on to win in OT or SO. Blues last night, then Bruins the night before (both in the last 2 min) and I had two that I'd have to go look at my record to remember that were on back to back nights. VERY unusual for that to happen. Infact, I can only remember it happening twice to me the entire rest of the season.

it is precisely to save myself this sort of frustration that I generally prefer the "-1 puckline" full-time bet...1-goal reg-time wins are just a push for me...but in return ties aren't as frustrating (and you want to watch the team u back win the game...to save your stake...instead of just get doubly-pissed when they win in OT)...

the -0.5reg and the -1ft plays are similarly priced (with the -1 routinely about 5-10% cheaper) to boot...

a few pages earlier i went on and on about how u had to "roll your own" -1s in hockey...but have since discovered they're readily available from pull-down menus at dimers (and at pinny too)...so not as much hassle to get this "kinder gentler" way to back a team that's too expensive on the ML
