Good call - poster of the month award for that realisation.

Wrong. Again.

I have looked at this thread a half dozen times hoping for an update on whether they will talk on the phone with US customers, I guess I should give that up and just call them myself. LOL

My apologies, Lakerfan. I'll try to get things back on track...

Due to a recent change in policy, we no longer have a Toll Free number for our US Members. However,......

I'm trying to push for you guys to have receive a rating upgrade at SBR but this revelation does not help matters...
nick:
Is this a response to recent occurences taking place in the US? It certainly appears to be.
MANSION Anthony:
It is a decision based on recent developments in the US, and is a decision that will be regularly reviewed
MANSION Anthony:

No problem at all. Good information isetcap, appreciate it. If this BOS situation actually affects a book like Mansion to do this, obviously the reach of the situation continues to grow.

It's not only affecting books like Mansion lakerfan...
In Thailand (where any kind gambling – excluding the lottery is illegal) the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology blocks many of the sportsbooks by IP address, so I have to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access the likes of Pinny, Betfair (but not Mansion – yet; touch wood), etc., etc.
So about a week ago, I was lazy and didn’t bother logging off my San Diego based VPN – to logon to a Malaysian VPN and although Betfair allowed me to login to my account, when I eventually went to finalize a wager – I got a system error message saying something to the effect that as they believed I was trying to place my wager from the US, they couldn’t take it!
FWIW I had logged onto Betfair hundreds of times previously from this San Diego based VPN without a problem, so it’s interesting to see that the BOS fallout has also affected Betfair’s SOP.

Very interesting Ourbet. I am surprised BetFair didn't block US IPs before this, actually.
